The Neighbourhood Group of Companies (NGC), the parent company of The Woolwich Arrow Pub, Borealis Grille & Bar, Miijidaa cafe + bistro and Park Grocery Deli & Bar, is very proud and pleased to announce that they are now officially a Certified B Corporation. This Certification makes NGC the largest B Corp certified restaurant company in the world.
Some of the key initiatives that qualified NGC for this prestigious achievement include;
- Raised $100,000 for the Grand River Conservation Foundation
- Provided health benefits to all employees
- Sponsored music series at Guelph’s River Run Centre and Kitchener’s Centre In The Square
- Partnered with Me to We resulting in the planting of thousands of trees
- Worked with Lucky Iron Fish to help fight iron deficiency
- Provided 5,000 meals to the KidsAbility Foundation
- Ensured all restaurants are carbon neutral by purchasing carbon offsets and adding solar panels in two locations
